Benedict's Gipson, Limestone's Maloney honored
Brandon Gipson of Benedict was a first-team selection as a utility player and Limestone's Joe Maloney was a second-team selection at catcher for the Daktronics NCAA Divisiion II all-America team.

    Clemson outfielder Chris Epps was selected to the Atlantic Coast Conference's All-Tournament team.

    South Carolina pitcher Michael Roth was selected to the Southeastern Conference's All-Tournament team.

  • Chanticleers, Buccaneers honored
    Six Coastal Carolina players were named to the Big South Conference All-Tournament team. Designated hitter Keith Hardwick was named most valuable player. Also honored were outfielder Daniel Bowman, infielders Taylor Motter and Rich Witten, utility play Hayes Orton and pitcher Anthony Meo. Also named to the team were Charleston Southern infielder Walt Quattlebaum and CSU pitcher Stew Brase.

    College of Charleston first baseman Marty Gantt and outfielder Cole Rakar and Furman third baseman Alex Abrams were named to the Southern Conference All-Tournmane team.

  • Belmont leaving A-Sun
    Belmont is leaving the Atlantic Sun Conference after next season to compete in the Ohio Valley Conference. It may be more practical for the Bruins teams for travel reasons.
