    USC Beaufort's Dexter Price and Sand Sharks recruit have signed contracts with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Washington Nationals, respectively.

    Former USC Upstate pitcher Bradley Blanks has signed with the Milwaukee Brewers.

  • Roth goes abroad
    USC pitcher Michael Roth left Friday for several weeks of study in Spain. Roth, a 31st-round draft choice of the Cleveland Indians, has indicated a desire to return for his senior season. The former Riverside High star won 14 games and earned all-American honors as he helped the Gamecocks repeat as national champion.
