Readers of the Palmetto State Baseball Blog have voted USC pitcher Michael Roth the state's player of the year among NCAA Division I schools.
Roth got 13 votes (38 percent) of 42 votes cast in the unscientific poll.
Clemson's Brad Miller got 6 votes, South Carolina's Scott Wingo got 4 votes, Coastal Carolina's Tommy LaStella and USC's Matt Price and Christian Walker got 3 votes apiece and College of Charleston's Daniel Aldrich and Presbyterian's Brad Zebedis got 1 vote each.
