Even though they are now supposed to be fully funded, Furman is still only bringing in one 2013 recruit from the state of South Carolina. Not surprising really. Most of the high level SC recruits are still going to go to South Carolina, Clemson, Coastal and the College of Charleston. The extra $ may help Furman compete for kids that would otherwise end up places like the Citadel and Winthrop, and MAYBE an occassional CCU/CofC kid. And it will certainly make them more competitive in the Southern Conference, but most of the money is going to be spent on out of state kids.
