Smith shows off Furman facility
Furman baseball coach Ron Smith provides a video tour of the new baseball clubhouse facility. The school has received a certificate of occupancy for the $2 million building. It's Phase 1 of a two-part plan to bring $3.5 million in improvements to Latham Stadium. Phase 2 is to include improvements to the stadium itself. Included are seating, press box, concessions and restroom improvements.

Schedule news
* UNC Asheville's 2013 schedule begins with an appearance in a tournament jointly held by USC Upstate and Wofford in Spartanburg. The Bulldogs also have a road game at The Citadel and an appearance in the Bulldog Challenge in Spartanburg. UNCA also has home-and-home series against USC Upstate and Wofford, as well as Big South Conference series at Charleston Southern and Coastal Carolina and at home against Presbyterian and Winthrop.
