Brown to coach summer team
Sorry I missed this last month. Zach Brown, a Greenville native and former player for The Citadel, has been named head coach of the Thomasville HiToms of the Coastal Plain League, a summer wood bat league for college-age players. Brown is in his first season as an assistant coach at Furman. He's listed on the prospectus but not the Furman baseball coaches' page, so he may be a volunteer. Brown went to Berea High, where he was productive as a pitcher and a first baseman.
