Leggett selected for baseball coaches' Hall of Fame (revised)

Clemson's official athletics Twitter account sent out an announcement late Tuesday afternoon that baseball coach Jack Leggett has been selected for induction into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Preliminary reports I'd seen indicated that Leggett had been selected for the College Baseball Hall of Fame. I apologize for the inaccurate first report.

Still, being recognized by his peers is a great honor for the veteran Clemson coach. He will be inducted Jan. 3, 2014 at the next ABCA winter convention.

Leggett has an 847-404-1 record at Clemson and a 1,224-694-1 overall record including stints and Vermont and Western Carolina.

Chal Port, former coach at The Citadel, also is in the ABCA Hall of Fame.

There's a link to Clemson's release on Leggett's selection below.
