Holbrook wants to honor Teal's memory
WIS-TV in Columbia reports USC baseball coach Chad Holbrook is involved in fundraising efforts to name the pediatric oncology wing at Palmetto Children's Hospital in Columbia for Bayler Teal. Teal was a 7-year-old Gamecocks fan from Bishopville who died of cancer days before USC won the College World Series in 2010. Holbrook's Win Anyway Foundation raises money to help families of children fighting cancer and other diseases. The seventh annual Reece Holbrook Golf Classic and Sports Auction will be held Aug. 18 and 19. Reece Holbrook is Chad's 11-year-old son who was diagnosed with leukemia at age 2 but by all indications appears to have beaten the disease..
