(lost to South Carolina; went 3-0 vs. Davidson)
If The Citadel had any after-effects regarding the manner of its midweek loss to South Carolina, it certainly didn't show up over the weekend.
The Bulldogs dispatched Davidson in a three-game series, getting back-to-back shutouts and scoring 19 runs on Saturday, the most in a game since 2017.
Coach Tony Skole's squad appeared poised to knock off South Carolina, holding the lead with two outs in the eighth inning. But the Gamecocks scored six two-out runs to make what was a tight game look otherwise when looking at just the 11-6 final.
