Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, March 15-21: Florence-Darlington Tech

Florence-Darlington Tech
is 16-2 overall and 2-0
in NJCAA Region 10

Florence-Darlington Tech (4-0 for the week)
(went 2-0 against North Central Missouri; went 2-0 at USC Salkehatchie)

This wasn't an easy choice. There were a couple of excellent candidates and several more good ones (see below).

Florence-Darlington Tech's overall body of work was the deciding factor. The Stingers have won 12 straight games and haven't lost a game in more than a month, dating BACK to Feb. 20.  Coach Preston McDonald's club has also had to deal with weather and the effects of COVID-19-related cancellations. There have been 11 cancellations and two more postponements.

The Stingers have been relentless on offense, scoring in double figures nine times during the current streak.

Up next for the Stingers: Columbia International JVs Wednesday, before hosting Louisburg in a big early Region 10 matchup on the weekend.
