Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, March 22-28: Clemson

Clemson (4-0 for the week)
(beat Georgia Southern; went 3-0 at Boston College)

One game in the ACC season, Clemson appeared to be right where it wanted to be. The Tigers opened  league play with a 13-7 win over Notre Dame and were 5-2 overall.

But six straight losses came and the Tigers were 5-8 overall and 1-5 in the ACC. Clemson has since righted the ship,  This weekend's sweep of Boston College moved the Tigers to 12-9 overall and, more importantly, 6-6 in the ACC with 24 conference games remaining to be played.

James Parker and Caden Grice have been big reasons why the Tigers' offense is putting up its best numbers of the season. Parker has an eight-game hitting streak and Grice drove in 13 runs in the last week.

Up next for the Tigers: Georgia at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium
