Briefly:  Donald Hansis homered for the game's only run and two pitchers made it stand up as College of Charleston snapped a six-game losing streak by beating No. 23 Alabama ...  Alex Garbrick and Sawyer Worrell combined for a 10-strikeout two-hitter in the opener and Devin Buckner's five RBIs supported Ben Ferrer's complete game in the nightcap as USC Upstate improved to 9-0 ... South Carolina pitchers struck out 17 as the Gamecocks picked up their first shutout of the season ... Notre Dame scored two runs in the first inning and Furman transfer John Michael Bertrand made that stand up to even its ACC series at Clemson ... Weston Rogers struck out eight in a six-hit shutout for Francis Marion in the opener of a sweep, giving coach Art Inabinet his 700th career win. Jack Harris had four hits and four RBIs as Newberry opened a SAC series at Queens with a sweep ... Sean McQuillan reached base five times to spark USC Aiken over nationally ranked Georgia College to avoid a Peach Belt Conference series sweep ... Tyler Corbitt homered for the second straight game and extended his hitting streak to five games for The Citadel ... Connor Aldrich had four hits for Charleston Southern split with Longwood to win the Big South Conference series ... USC Sumter extended its winning streak to four games with doubleheader sweep ...
