State scoreboard, Tuesday, March 16

Briefly: Bryce Teodosio made a tumbling run-saving catch to end the top of the sixth, then hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the inning as Clemson snapped its six-game losing streak. Teodosio's snag at the foot of the center field wall kept the Clemson lead at 3-2, then he homered over almost the exact spot of his catch in the bottom of the inning to give the Tigers breathing room. Clemson pitchers struck out 14 in sending Georgia State to its eighth straight loss. GSU hasn't scored more than two runs in any of the losses ... North Greenville used 14 hits and 17 walks to coast past Southern Wesleyan and complete a sweep of the four-game Conference Carolinas series. Lex Tutenn drove in four runs and John Michael Faile and Jordan Holladay homered as NGU won its ninth straight game, while Southern Wesleyan, which was outscored 63-6 in the series, has lost 12 straight ... Five Charleston Southern pitchers combined for 5 2/3 innings of shutout relief as the Buccaneers won their third straight game and evened their season record. It was PC's first game since Feb. 27 after seven games were postponed because of COVID-19 protocols and an eighth game was lost to weather. ... T.J. Highsmith had two hits and an RBI in Game 2 as USC Sumter snapped a three-game losing streak ... Rommel Acosta's two-out double in the sixth was the only hit for Bob Jones in Game 1 and the Bruins (0-13) suffered their third straight shutout loss in the nightcap.
