Briefly: Nick Clayton pitched four shutout innings in relief and Clemson scored four runs in the eighth to win the opener of an ACC series. Alex Urban's two-run single in the eighth broke a 6-6 tie as Clemson won its fifth straight conference game and moved over .500 in the league (7-6) ... Scott McDonough homered in each game and drove in seven runs as Florence-Darlington Tech won a pair of NJCAA Region 10 games halted after five innings ... Mike McGuire got his 400th career victory as USC Upstate won its series opener at Radford behind Jordan Marks' eight strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings ... Eric Toth had four hits, including a homer, and drove in three in Presbyterian's fourth straight win ... Kyle Sandstrom had three hits and two stolen bases and pitched an inning as Charleston Southern ended a five-game losing streak in Game 1. Reid Hardwick drove in five runs in Game 2 ... Kody Hanna was 7-for-10 with three doubles, two homers and five RBIs in Coker's split ... Thomas withstood USC Beaufort's comeback in Game 1 to snap the Sand Sharks' six-game winning streak ...
