Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, Feb. 20-26: Southern Wesleyan

Southern Wesleyan (4-0 for the week)
(beat Limestone; went 3-0 vs. Chowan)

There were lots of worthy team of the week candidates this week. Nine Palmetto State teams didn't lose a game. Sometimes, a backstory helps to finalize a choice.

It's been a season of streaks for Southern Wesleyan under first-year coach Matt Robinson. The Warriors won their first two games and lost their next eight. SWU bounced back last week with four wins, including a Conference Carolinas sweep of  Chowan.

The season archives on the Warriors' Website only go back as far as 2009, but there are no other three-game sweeps in conference series on the record.

Sure, Chowan is winless, but the Warriors aren't responsible for how good their opposition is.

Up next for the Warriors: at home against USC Aiken on Wednesday.
