Newberry 11, Tusculum 1 - A six-run third inning put Newberry in command in the first round of the tournament pod at the Smith Road Complex. Henry Gibson, Jesse Free and Jomar Lugo drove in two runs apiece. Ethan LeBron pitched a four-hit complete game as the Wolves advanced to a Saturday game against Lenoir-Rhyne. Tusculum and Carson-Newman will play an elimination game.
