* South Carolina 9, Georgia 0 - James Hicks and Cade Austin combined for the Gamecocks' first SEC shutout and Will Tippett had a bases-loaded triple among his three hits as the USC advanced to a Wednesday game against LSU in the double-elimination portion of the tournament.
* Also: Texas A&M shut out Tennessee, 3-0, and will play Arkansas on Wednesday. Alabama beat Kentucky, 4-0, and will play Florida on Wednesday.
ACC Tournament
* Boston College 11, Virginia Tech 7 - The Eagles' victory means the winner of Friday's Clemson-BC game will win Pool C and reach the tournament semifinals.
* Also: North Carolina beat Georgia Tech, 11-5 and. N.C. State beat Duke in 11 innings, 8-7.
