Benedict

Bene-feats: The Tigers stolen their 3,000th base during Selwyn Young's 16-year tenure as coach on Feb. 29. Benedict has regularly ranked at or near the top in stolen bases among NCAA Division II teams since Young became coach.

Bob Jones

Bru-insights: Bob Jones was in line for its third consecutive doubleheader, taking an 8-6 lead into the bottom of the seventh innings in Game 2 of a Saturday twinbill at Toccoa Falls. But the Eagles scores five runs, including a game-ending grand slam.

Charleston Southern

Buc blasts: Cade Conway's eight-game hitting streak was snapped in Sunday's loss at UNC Asheville, but he still leads the team with a .439 batting average ... Chandler Tuopo went 6-for-12 in the UNCA series and has hits in 20 of 24 games this season ... Evan Truitt pitched a career--high seven innings - in relief - to get a win on Saturday.

Claflin

Claf-lines: All three losses at Georgia Southwestern were halted after seven innings ... The Panthers' staff ERA is 13.52 ... Claflin's losing streak is at 26 games. Last year's team lost its first 31 before getting its lone victory.

Clemson

Tiger tales: Fourteen of Clemson's 22 victories - including all three against Florida State over the weekend - have been come-from-behind wins ... Tristan Smith missed his scheduled start against Florida State and may miss a couple more as he deals with an ankle issue ... Clemson baseball media relations director Brian Hennessy said the eight-run ninth inning to win Game 2 on Saturday is quite probably the second-largest ninth-inning comeback in program history. In April 1995, Clemson wiped out an 11-run deficit against N.C. State to force extra innings and win, 17-15. The Wolfpack's coach that day was Ray Tanner, who went on to win two national championships at South Carolina is now that school's athletic director.

Coastal Carolina 

Chanti-sphere: Sunday's Game 2 win at Appalachian State was Gary Gilmore's 1,100th win as Coastal's coach. Gilmore has announced he will retire after this season.

Snake strikes: Benjamin Blackwell has two wins and a save in his last three outings. The freshman left-hander has a 5-0 record and 0.96 ERA. Three times, he has pitched five innings in relief to get the win ... The Cobras have not lost more than two consecutive games this season.

College of Charleston

Cougar curves: The weekend series loss to North Carolina A&T was the first time the Cougars had lost their opening CAA series since 2019 against Elon.

Columbia International

Ram-egrams: CIU has played 10 doubleheaders this season.

Erskine

Fleet filberts: Dale Francis Jr. hit six homers in a seven-day span and now has 12 homers for the season - eight since March 7. He has 17 RBI over his last six games and 27 over his last 11. His .415 batting average is tops for a team hitting .314 ... Alex Heintz has struck out 61 batters in 41 innings.

Florence-Darlington Tech

Stinger zingers: Monday's sweep of  USC Sumter extended FD Tech's winning streak to 17, but the Stingers were fortunate to get No. 16. Tech trailed, 4-1 entering the seventh. After tying the score, the Stingers got three bases-loaded walks and a wild pitch for the margin of victory.

Francis Marion

Patriot-ics: Francis Marion is on an eight-game losing streak and has lost 13 of 17 since a 9-3 start.

Lander

Lander liners: The weekend sweep of No. 15 North Georgia was the Bearcats' first of the Nighthawks since 2012.

Limestone

Halo happenings: The Saints have lost nine of 11 since a nine-game winning streak.

Morris

Hornet heaters: Morris has lost since straight since evening its record at 4-4.

Newberry

Wolf howls: Catcher Rhett Jolly has been out since March 17 with a broken bone in his wrist ... Center fielder Donovan Ford had a nine-game streak of multi-hit games snapped when he got one hit Monday against Virginia Wise.

North Greenville

Crusaders capers: North Greenville has hit 11 triples. Opponents have hit none.

Kilt kernels: After hitting six homers in his first nine games, Joel Dragoo's home run Sunday was his first since Feb. 25.

Fowl fare: The sweep of Vanderbilt for the first for the Gamecocks since 2009.

Southern cooking: Christopher Hund is listed as an infielder on the Warriors' roster, but he has been getting plenty of work as a pitcher. He pitched the team's first complete game of the season in Sunday's 12-2 win over King.

Spartanburg Methodist

Pioneer pearls: Davis Wright has two complete games this season, both shutouts ... Hunter Fryzowicz is 13-for-22 during a six-game hitting streak and has raised his average to .471. 

The Citadel

Bulldog bombs: The 10-0 loss in Sunday's game at Wofford marked the first time the team had been shut out this season ... The Bulldogs have scored in double figures nine times.

USC Aiken

Pacer patter: Saturday's win over Columbus State snapped an 11-game losing streak, longest in the school's NCAA era.

USC Beaufort

Shark bites: Carson Phillips has a 10-game hitting streak and has raised his batting average to .356 ... The Sand Sharks have lost 11 straight games. 

USC Lancaster

Lancer-lots: Joe Sperry has 15 homes, 54 RBI and a .435 batting average. He also has  3-3 record and 35 strikeouts in 33 2/3 innings.

USC Salkehatchie

Indian items: Opponents have outhomered Salkehatchie 34-4.

USC Sumter

Ant hills: USC Sumter is 61-for-70 on stolen bases ... J.T. Popick leads the team with 40 runs scored.

Bantam bits:  Tyler Strickland is 10-for-16 with three home runs and nine RBI during a five-game hitting streak.

Upper cuts: Jace Rinehart had a 12-game hitting streak  snapped on Saturday, but rebounded with a home run on Sunday ... Troy Hamilton's home run on Friday was his team-leading 10th of the season.

Bengal bingles: Joseph Gaines has stolen 14 bases in 16 tries ... Jathan Smith has four of the Tigers' nine victories.

Winthrop

Eagle eggstra: Riley Huge has 71 strikeouts in 37 innings, ranking him among the leaders in NCAA Division I.

Wofford

Terrier tappers: Wofford is averaging scoring 11.6 runs per game and has scored 10 or more in 13 of 21 games ... The Terriers have a .367 team batting average.
