Troj-antics:  Ben Smith pitched his second complete game of the season in Saturday's 3-1 win over Catawba. He is 6-5 and has decisions in all 11 starts.

Benedict

Bene-feats: Taj Bates was 5-for-8 in the weekend series against Albany State, raising his batting average to .451 ... Six Tigers have stolen 10 or more bases, led by Jamell Mitchell Jr.'s 35.

Bob Jones 

Bru-insights: Joshua Legnard, coming off four consecutive complete-game wins, pitched perhaps better than he did in any of those wins on Saturday, but gpt nothing to show for it. The senior from Moncks Corner  struck out 10 and allowed two hits in eight shutout innings against Toccoa Falls, but left a scoreless game. Toccoa Falls hit a three-run homer in the ninth to win. Legnard lowered his ERA to 3.33. He has a 2.00 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 36 innings in his last five games ... Riley Ramsey had a 13-game hitting streak snapped in Game 1 on Saturday.

Charleston Southern

Buc blasts: Cade Conway and Chandler Tuopo both were 6-for-13 in the Gardner-Webb series ... B.J. Banyon matched his season high with four hits on Sunday. The final one drove in the winning run in the 10th inning.

Claflin

Claf-lines: The Panthers' losing streak reached 37 as a team, but leadoff batter Kobe Miller continued to do his job. He has reached base in 16 consecutive games. Miller was 8-for-13 in four games last week, raising his batting average to .341.

Clemson

Tiger tales: Will Taylor's single on Sunday extended his on-base streak to 27 games ...  Ethan Darden's complete game on Saturday was the Tigers' first since 2021 ... N.C. State has won five of its last six series with Clemson.

Coastal Carolina

Chanti-sphere: Sam Antonacci has raised his batting average to .409 during an 18-game hitting streak. He was 5-for-12 with six runs scored and four RBI during the Georgia Southern series.

Coker

Snake strikes: The Cobras have won their last three South Atlantic Conference ... The three homers in Game 1 of the Mars Hill series marked the second time Coker has had three homers in a game. It has six in the other 39 games. Ick Cirino hit his first two homers of the season in the Mars Hill opener ... The Cobras have stolen 142 bases. Opponents have stolen 17.

College of Charleston

Cougar curves: Kevin Madden was 6-for-11 with three homers and six RBI against Monmouth ... The Cougars hit 12 homers in four games last weekend, increasing their season total to 48 ... Sunday's shutout was the fourth of the season by CofC pitchers.

Columbia International

Ram-egrams: CIU suffered a pair of walk-off losses in Saturday's doubleheader at Milligan ... Scott McDonough is 7-for-18 during his five-game hitting streak, raising his batting average to .362. He has hit two homers and driven in 10 uring the streak.

Erskine

Fleet filberts: Josean Sanchez is 11-for-22 during a six-game hitting streak and has raised his batting average to a team-leading .407 ... Opponents have scored 10 or more runs 11 times this season

Florence-Darlington Tech

Stinger zingers: FD Tech is 20-0 in Region 10 and has a three-game lead over Gaston College, who the Stingers face in the final regular-season series Saturday and Sunday at Sims Legion Park in Gastonia. Tech needs one win to clinch the top seed for the Region 10 tournament ... Rom Kellis leads the team in homers (12), RBI (59) and batting average (.409).

Francis Marion

Patriot-ics: Chas DeBruhl bounced back from a rough outing in his previous start by holding No. 3 North Greenville to a run on three hits over six innings in the Patriots' win to open the series ... FMU had back-to-back wins last week for the first time since March 10-11 ... Zack Summerville has a six-game hitting streak ... Noah Stout has had two hits in four of his last five games after going hitless in the six previous games.

Lander

Lander liners: Gary Garrett stole the 61st base of his career in Friday's game at Georgia College to become the school's career leader. He also became the school's single-season leader with 27 ... Connor Droze hit his school-record 35th career homer in last week's win over Southern Wesleyan and added another at Georgia College. He is 10-for-26 during a seven-game hitting streak ... Anson Merrick has the only two complete games for the Bearcats.

Limestone

Halo happenings: Sion Barnette was 7-for-12 in the Newberry series and has an eight-game hitting streak. He had driving in at least one run in seven straight games before failing to do so in the Newberry series finale ... The Saints have lost seven of their last eight games ... Marty Neal has struck out 55 in 39 2/3 innings.

Morris

Hornet heaters:  Although Morris went 1-3 in the weekend series with Florida National, it had a .448 team batting average. Top performers included  Jeremiah Baker (10-for-14), Tijawan Black (7-for-17), James Paul (6-for-14), Jayden Earle (6-for-9) and Guillermo Morel (5-for-9).

Newberry

Wolf howls: Donovan Ford pushed his hitting streak to 22 games by going 8-for-17 last week. He was 7-for-12 against Limestone and increased his batting average to .429. He has six of the Wolves' 18 triples and has struck out 11 times in 204 plate appearances ... Newberry batters have been hit by pitches 91 times..

North Greenville

Crusader capers: Barton's sweep of Mount Olive allowed NGU and Young Harris to move past the Trojans into a tie for first place in Conference Carolinas with two weekends remaining. North Greenville (18-6 conference) has series remaining at Chowan (3-21) and Erskine (12-11). Young Harris (18-6) has a home series with Emmanuel (15-9) and trip to Belmont Abbey (13-11). Mount Olive (17-6) has a home series with Belmont Abbey and a trip to Francis Marion (7-17). North Greenville has the head-to-head tiebreaker over both Young Harris and Mount Olive, while Mount Olive has the edge on Young Harris ... The Crusaders have lost consecutive games twice - a three-game streak in mid-March.

Presbyterian

Kilt kernels: Joel Dragoo went 9-for-18 last week and is at .403 for the season ... Daniel Eagen has a 1.55 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 40 2/3 innings. He is 4-0. Charlie McDaniel is 6-0 with a 1.76 ERA.

South Carolina

Fowl fare: Carolina leads NCAA Division 1 with 256 walks, 11 ahead of second-pace Texas A&M  ... The series win at Florida was USC's first since 2011 and snapped the Gators' streak of 15 consecutive weekend home series wins ... Parker Noland and Cole Messina have 14-game hitting streaks. Noland has reached base in 23 consecutive games ... Ethan Petry has tied Eric Stanton for 11th on USC's career homers list with 38. Next up are Charlie Aldrich, Jams Darnell and Tripp Kelly, who share eighth at 41.

Southern Wesleyan

Southern cooking: Cam Mitchem and Blayze Haddock homered in the series finale with Young Harris, marking the third time the Warriors have hit two homers in a game this season. Mitchem has 10 of Southern's 22 homers and has raised his batting average to .316 during a six-game hitting streak ... Gage Shaver was 7-for-18 last week ... SWU's 15 hits in Game 2 on Saturday were second-most in a game this season, one behind the 16 hits in an 18-11 loss to Erskine ... The Warriors have been outscored 158-50 during their 13-game losing streak.

Spartanburg Methodist

Pioneer pearls: With SMC moving to four-year status next season, the weekend series at USC Sumter was the final Region 10 conference series of coach Tim Wallace's 33-year career at the school. The Pioneers went 3-1 to finish 15-9 in region play this season. They will finish third in the conference.

The Citadel

Bulldog bulletin: Wells Sykes was 7-for-11 in the USC Upstate series. He has five of the Bulldogs' 12 triples ... Garrett Dill entered the weekend with three hits in 25 at-bats, but was 5-for-10 with a double against the Spartans.

USC Aiken 

Pacer patter: The Saturday-Sunday wins at Augusta were the first back-to-back wins for UCSA since winning four straight Feb. 28-March 3.

USC Beaufort

Shark bites: The current three-game winning streak is a season high ... Aiden Driscoll-Sadusky is 10-for-24 over his last six games with a double, a homer, eight runs and six RBI ... Hunter Miller is 11-for-27 during a six-game hitting streak.

USC Lancaster

Lancer lots: Eddie Olmeda (.472) and Joe Sperry (.418) rank 1-2 in Region 10 
batting average. Sperry also leads the league in homers (18) and RBI (73). 

USC Salkehatchie

Indian items: The 6-5 win over USC Lancaster in Game 1 on Sunday was the Indians' first Region 10 win and ended a 28-game losing streak overall.

USC Sumter

Ant hills: The Fire Ants have been shut out in three of their last six games ... Luke Arvantides ranks fifth in Region 10 with a 4.70 ERA ... Josh Keen ranks fourth with 59 strikeouts ...

USC Union

Bantam bits: Brayden Corn shares third place in Region 10 with 25 stolen bases. He and Tyler Strickland have 7 homers and 31 RBI to share the team lead in both categories

USC Upstate

Upper cuts: The Spartans have five players with 10 or more homers and have hit 68 as a team ... Noah Sullivan was 7-for-15 last week with eight runs, four homers and six RBI. He also pitched eight innings to get the win Friday against The Citadel

Voorhees

Bengal bingles: With their 11th win over the weekend, the Tigers have now more than doubled their 2023 win total of five ... Jordyn Hill leads Voorhees with a .364 batting average, with Isaiah Palmer nor far back at .350 ... Joseph Gaines is 15-for-17 in stolen base attempts.

Winthrop

 Eagle eggs-tra: Ace Riley Huge was rocked for nine earned runs in 3 2/3 innings at Presbyterian on Friday, by far his least successful outing of the season and the worst since he gave up seven runs in his first start against Rutgers. He has struck out 90 batters in 51 1/3 innings.

Wofford 

Terrier tappers: The Terriers lead NCAA Division I, scoring 11 runs per game ... Wofford has been held below six hits once this season ... Marshall Toole (.421) and Brice Martinez (.416) are in a tight race for the team lead in batting average ... Freshman Kenny Michaels had career highs in innings pitched (7) and strikeouts (7) in his shutout relief performance during Friday's extra-inning win at Florida International.
