Briefly: Kennedy Jones hit one of No. 15 South Carolina's four home runs and drove in four runs as the Gamecocks got a run-rule win over East Tennessee State ... Erskine broke open a tight game in the late innings to run-rule Francis Marion in the opening game of the Conference Carolinas Tournament. The Flying Fleet advance to the double-elimination portion of the event, facing top seed North Greenville on Thursday in Gastonia ...Wofford scored two runs in the seventh and Dixon Black's infield single delivered the go-ahead run in the eighth as the Terriers beat Winthrop ... Koby Kropf had four hits and homered for the fourth straight game as USC Upstate roared back from an early two-run deficit to paste Western Carolina ... Newberry scored two first-inning runs, but was shut out the rest of the way and fell to Georgia College in the bottom of the ninth.
