Where S.C. Division I teams stand in conference races after Friday's games

* Atlantic Coast Conference: Clemson wrapped up the Atlantic Division and No. 2 seed for the conference tournament with Friday's win over Boston College. That result eliminated the Eagles, coached by former Wofford coach Todd Interdonato, from tournament contention.

* Big South Conference: Presbyterian's sweep of UNC Asheville, coupled for High Point's loss to Gardner-Webb, clinched the first-ever Big South regular-season title for the Blue. In addition, it clinched the fourth seed for Charleston Southern. First-round pairings will be PC-Charleston Southern and High Point-USC Upstate.

* Coastal Athletic Association: College of Charleston claimed the regular-season title and top tournament seed with an extra-inning win over Elon after UNCW's second straight loss to Delaware.

.* Southeastern Conference: South Carolina (13-16) lost its fifth straight conference game and will have a losing SEC record for the fifth time in the last nine seasons. Carolina can still finish from seventh to 11th in the overall standings. Many of the teams it is vying with are struggling as well.

* Southern Conference: Western Carolina's doubleheader split with VMI assured Wofford of finishing fifth. The Terriers' win over Samford handed the regular-season championship to UNCG.

* Sun Belt Conference: Coastal Carolina (15-14) will finish no worse than a tie for seventh. A win at Marshall on Saturday would give the Chanticleers seventh by themselves. A loss would create the possibility of tie with South Alabama (14-15, at regular-season champ Louisiana) and/or Old Dominion (14-15, at 13-16 Georgia State).
