News digest, Nov. 12

Sorry about that; I'll try to do better

I'm ready to start doing more updates to this site after about a six-week hiatus. Part of the problem was I was without power for almost two weeks after Hurricane Helene. Then, I got caught up in following the Presidential Election and let it consume most of my time online making snarky remarks about candidates I disagreed with.

With the election in the past, I'm going to try to be more diligent in updating things - and leave the partisanship in the voting booth.

It's less than 100 days for first pitch for NCAA Division I schools and probably 80 or so days for schools on other levels.

I'm looking forward to the season.
