Gamecocks lose Jerzembeck

South Carolina coach Paul Mainieri announced Thursday that right-handed pitcher Eli Jerzembeck would miss the 2025 season with a stress fracture in his right elbow. A redshirt sophomore, Jerzembeck had a 2.84 ERA as freshman in an injury-shortened 2023. He missed the 2024 season with an injury. Jerzembeck will have surgery in March, Mainieri said.
