* NCAA Division I: Clemson (28-5, 7-3) scored four unearned runs in the seventh inning to take the lead and held on to beat California (16-13, 6-7) in the opener of their ACC series. Dominic Listi doubled and homered to drive in three runs, while Lucas Mahlstedt struck out three in the ninth inning to get his 10th save ... Beau Hollins had four hits - include a home run - and drove in four runs as South Carolina (19-12, 2-8) won the opener of an SEC series at Mississippi State (17-13, 1-9) ... Jacob Morrison allowed a run on three hits in eight innings as Coastal Carolina (22-8, 7-3) beat Arkansas State (13-16, 4-6) to open a Sun Belt Conference series ... Johnny Sweeney homered twice, drove in six runs and his ninth-inning grand slam lifted USC Upstate (15-15, 4-3) over first-place High Point (20-10, 6-1) in the opener of a Big South Conference series ... Andrew Stanley struck out 11 in six innings as The Citadel (17-14) took the opener of a series at Western Michigan (7-20) ... Landon Penfield doubled and drove in two runs as College of Charleston (17-11, 4-3) took the first game of a CAA series at Monmouth (16-14, 3-4) ... Jake Randolph was a school-record 6-for-6 as Presbyterian (15-16, 7-3) opened a Big South Conference series by beating Longwood (8-22, 3-4) ... Harrison Wilson struck out nine while allowing three hits and a run in seven innings as Winthrop (17-15, 4-3) took the opener of a Big South Conference series with UNC Asheville (10-19, 3-7) ... Nathan Martinez, Lew Rice and Kaden Smith drove in three runs apiece as Charleston Southern (15-12, 3-7) took the opener of a Big South Conference series at Radford (14-15, 3-4) ... Samford (15-15, 2-2) scored six runs in the first and four in the second to run rule Wofford (21-10, 2-2) in the opener of their Southern Conference series ...

* Conference Carolinas: North Greenville (21-8, 16-7) scored six runs in the 10th inning to take Game 1 and scored five runs late in Game 2 to complete a  sweep at Mount Olive (20-15, 11-9), which has lost six straight. The Trailblazers have won seven straight ... Danny Leo struck out 10 in seven innings of three-hit, shutout relief as Francis Marion (28-9, 16-6) won its ninth straight game by clubbing Emmanuel (17-20, 10-12) in a series opener ... Southern Wesleyan (8-29) matched Wingate with three hits, but the Bulldogs were more productive with theirs in taking the opener of a nonconference series ...  Barton (24-12, 15-7) scored the winning run against Erskine (14-20, 5-14) on an infield single in the bottom of the 11th inning of their series opener, handing the Flying Fleet their fifth straight loss.

* Peach Belt Conference: Lander (25-11, 13-3) dominated USC Beaufort (5-28, 1-15) in a run-rule win to open their series ... Georgia College (22-15, 14-2) did all its scoring in the first two innings of a win over USC Aiken (16-20, 6-10). Hunter Thompson had two homers and drove in all six Pacer runs ... Flagler (23-12, 8-8) scored four runs in the first inning and kept Claflin (5-27-1, 0-16) winless in conference play ...

* South Atlantic Conference: Coker (21-15, 10-9) trailed by five runs before coming to bat, but the Cobras got two runs in the ninth inning for a walk-off win over Carson-Newman (26-10, 15-4) to snap a six-game losing streak ... Anderson (20-15, 9-10) scored three runs in the ninth to take the opener of a series at Lincoln Memorial (19-16, 9-10) ... Virginia Wise (22-16, 11-11) scored four runs in the eighth and beat Newberry (19-17, 8-14) to open their series ... Emory & Henry (12-24, 4-15) scored two runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth as it won a series opener at Limestone (18-19, 11-11).

* Other four-year schools: Keelen Sloan singled doubled, walked, scored a run and drove in four as Voorhees (15-17, 12-11) snapped a six-game losing streak in Game 1 en route to an HBCU doubleheader sweep of Wilberforce (6-26, 3-17) ... Montreat (16-22, 8-11) took the opener of a series with Columbia International (19-16, 7-12) to move ahead of the Rams in the Appalachian Athletic Conference standings ... Toccoa Falls (16-17) jumped on Bob Jones (8-18) early to win the opener of their series ...  Florida National (18-13) took a doubleheader at Morris (1-28).
