I just became aware that Claudia Medlin, wife of former Newberry and USC Sumter coach Tim Medlin, is dealing with health challenges related to Creutzfeldt Jakob disease, a neurodegenerative disorder. Online research reveals one of the possible outcomes is dementia. Tim, who retired after last season, just texted me last weekend. That reminded me how much help he has been to PalmettoStateBaseball.com for years. Their daughter has started a Go Fund Me account to help deal with what are expected to be large medical and care bills. I just donated. I hope you'll consider doing so, too.
