* NCAA Division I: Zach Hunt homered and drove in three runs as The Citadel (3-2) completed a two-game sweep of Marshall (2-3) ...  Blake Guerin drove in all three ruins for South Alabama (5-1) as the Jaguars clinched a series win over College of Charleston. The Cougars were held to three singles ... Charleston Southern had a 3-0 lead over Elon in the fifth inning when rain forced a halt. Play will resume prior to Sunday's game.

* Conference Carolinas: Bennett Roemer struck out 10 and allowed three hits in six shutout innings as North Greenville (12-1, 4-1) clinched a series win by beating Erskine (4-10, 3-2) in Game 1 of a doubleheader.

* Peach Belt Conference: Caleb Jatko allowed one earned run and struck out eight in a complete game as Augusta (9-5, 5-0) clinched a series win over USC Beaufort (3-8, 0-5) ... Middle Georgia had an 11-6 lead over USC Aiken when play was halted by rain in the eighth inning. The game will be completed prior to Sunday's game.

* South Atlantic Conference: Braeden Harrison's three-run homer capped a five-run seventh inning and Anderson (10-3, 2-3) held off Tusculum (4-9,0-5) in Game 1 to clinch a series win ...

* NJCAA: Tristan Strickland gave Florence-Darlington the lead with a seventh-inning homer in Game 1 as the Stingers (13-4, 1-1) evened the series and handed Gaston College (16-1, 1-1) its first loss.

* NCCAA: Cole Price and Trevor Myers hit back-to-back home runs to tie the score in the sixth inning and Guilford (3-3) added another run later in the inning to take Game 1 from Bob Jones (3-5) ...
