* NCAA Division I: Trace Mazon and Colby Thorndyke had three hits apiece as No. 16 Coastal Carolina (14-7, 4-0 Sun Belt) run-ruled James Madison (11-9, 3-1). Rex Watson homered and ended the game with a RBI double ... Mason Reising was 5-for-5 with 2 homers, 5 runs scored and 5 RBI as Charleston Southern (15-6, 1-0 Big South) whipped Gardner-Webb (12-10, 2-2) ... Jack Radel pitched a four-hit complete game shutout as Notre Dame (12-6, 4-3 ACC) won the series opener against No. 19 Clemson (18-5, 1-3). It's the third time this season the Tigers have been shut out in a series opener ... No. 4 Arkansas (17-6, 3-1 SEC) scored a crooked number in the first six innings to run-rule South Carolina (12-11, 0-4), which has lost six straight. The Razorbacks hit 6 homers and drew 12 walks. Carolina got two-run homers from Jake Randolph, KJ Scobey and Luke Yuhasz ... Maloy Heaghney doubled in two runs in the ninth inning and USC Upstate (12-11, 3-1 Big South) pitchers allowed one earned run in a win at Longwood (15-7, 1-3) ... Winthrop (15-7) broke a tie with six runs in the eighth, but had to withstand a late rally by Sacramento State (9-14) to even its series., Gabe Natividad, Josh Skowronski and Alan Benhardt drove in three runs apiece for the Eagles ... Xavier (7-16) scored two runs in the third and six in the fourth to take the first game of a three-game series with Wofford (14-9) ... Will Tyrrell's two-run double gave UNCW (15-7, 4-0 Coastal Athletic Association) its runs in a win over College of Charleston (9-12, 4-3) ... Mercer (19-3, 1-0 SoCon) continued the best start in school history with a run-rule win over The Citadel (8-12, 0-1). The Bulldogs were no-hit until Garrett Fulmer's seventh-inning single ... Jace Kohler's 10th-inning RBI single gave High Point (12-9, 2-2 Big South) a walk-off win over Presbyterian (4-19, 2-2).

* Appalachian Athletic Conference: Travis Dannecker pitched a six-hit complete game as Spartanburg Methodist (14-13, 7-6) took the opener of a series at Bluefield (6-15, 0-9) ... NAIA No. 10 Tennessee Wesleyan (23-8, 11-2) won the series opener to snap a seven-game winning streak by Columbia International (10-19, 8-7).

* Conference Carolinas: Lane McGaha singled and homered twice to drive in six runs and North Greenville (23-6, 12-4) racked up 19 hits to claim a series opener at Southern Wesleyan (9-20, 4-12) ... Charlie Bussey III had a homer and three singles as Francis Marion (22-6, 13-3) rallied with five runs in the seventh and three in the ninth to win the opener at Emmanuel (13-14, 10-9) ... Mount Olive (12-12, 7-9) scored 11 runs in the seventh inning to salt away a win over Erskine (12-18, 8-8) in a series opener.

* Peach Belt Conference: USC Aiken (20-8, 9-4) stole 15 bases - setting school and conference single-game records - and scored in the first seven innings to slide past USC Beaufort (5-22, 0-16) ... Evan Koehler struck out 11 in six innings as Georgia Southwestern (16-13, 9-4) handed Claflin (3-18, 0-13) its 16th straight loss ... Lander (16-12, 10-6) scored two runs in the ninth to force extra innings, but Columbus State (15-9, 9-4) won on a 12th-inning sacrifice fly. 

* South Atlantic Conference: Myles Denton doubled and homered to drive in four runs and Kaleb Owens and Brady Williams combined for a six-hit shutout as Anderson (17-11, 5-11) beat Emory & Henry (6-19, 3-13) ... Lincoln Memorial (18-10, 11-5) pitched out of a bases-loaded situation in the bottom of the ninth to top Newberry (17-11, 12-4) at the Smith Road Complex ... Nathan Kidder's ninth-inning RBI single capped Lenoir Rhyne's (19-5-1, 11-4-1) rally to beat Coker (7-19, 6-10).

* HBCUAC: Darius Keyton singled, homered, stole two bases and drove in seven runs as Voorhees (4-16, 3-7) took the series finale against Oakwood (2-18, 1-8). The Tigers had 10 hits, drew 11 walks and stole 12 bases.
