* NCAA Division I: Clemson (16-4, 1-2 ACC) used an eight-run fifth inning to avoid being swept by Georgia Tech (17-3, 4-2). Ty Dalley and Jacob Jarrell drove in three runs apiece for the Tigers ... No. 16 Coastal Carolina (12-6, 2-0 Sun Belt) scored the decisive runs in the ninth inning for the second straight day to clinch a series win at Appalachian State (10-8, 0-2). Trace Mazon hit a two-run homer to cap the four-run outburst. Three of the runs were unearned ... No. 23 Florida (17-3, 2-0 SEC) shut out punchless South Carolina (12-8, 0-2) for the second straight day ... Christian Charalambous pitched a four-hit shutout and Presbyterian (3-17, 1-1 Big South) won for the first time since opening day, beating UNC Asheville (11-9, 1-1) to snap a 17-game losing streak ... Miles Barbrey doubled twice and drove in four runs for The Citadel (7-9), which scored a program inning-record 14 runs in the seventh to run-rule UT Martin (9-9) and even the series ... Colin Crowley's 11th-inning double gave Winthrop (13-6, 2-0 Big South) its second straight walk-off win over Radford (8-8, 0-2) ... A throwing error on a sacrifice bunt in the 10th allowed College of Charleston (8-10, 1-1 CAA) to even its series with Stony Brook (3-13, 1-1) ... Tyler Lang hit two home runs and scored four times as USC Upstate (10-10, 2-0 Big South) clinched a series win over High Point (10-9, 0-2) ... John Emendorfer, who did not start, doubled and homered to drive in four runs in Game 2 as Charleston Southern (13-6) salvaged the finale of a doubleheader with Villanova (7-8) to avoid a series sweep ... Princeton (5-10) got a shutout in Game 1 and rallied to win Game 2 of a sweep of Wofford (12-8) in extra innings. 

* Conference Carolinas: Connor McKee had a double among his three hits in Game 2 and drove in five runs as North Greenville (20-6, 11-4) won Game 2 with Belmont Abbey (16-8, 13-5) to avoid a series sweep.  The Crusaders scored four runs in the seventh inning to take the opener ... Charlie Bussey III's two-run homer capped a three-run seventh in Game 2 and lifted Francis Marion (21-5, 12-3) to a doubleheader split and a series win over Young Harris (19-6, 13-2) ... Erskine (11-17, 8-7) scored a pair of unearned runs in the 11th inning of Game 2 to avoid a series sweep at King (10-15, 7-8). The Tornado scored six runs in the sixth inning to take Game 1 ... Mount Olive (11-13, 6-9) swept a doubleheader to get a series win over Southern Wesleyan (9-18, 4-11). 

* Peach Belt Conference: Flagler (16-8, 6-5) evened its series with Lander (15-10, 9-5) by thwarting the Bearcats' late comeback bid ... Georgia Southwestern (15-10, 8-3) rode a five-run eighth inning to a series-tying win over USC Aiken (17-8 7-4) ... North Georgia (22-5, 13-1) extended USC Beaufort's (4-19, 0-14) losing streak to nine games

* South Atlantic Conference: Nick Riedel (5-0) pitched a three-hit shutout in Game 1 and Newberry (17-9, 12-3) went on to a doubleheader and series sweep of  Tusculum (9-16, 4-11) ... Coker (7-18, 6-9) scored three runs in the 11th inning to win Game 1, but Lincoln Memorial (16-10, 11-7) took the nightcap to win the series. The Railsplitters scored four runs in the ninth inning of the opener to force extra innings and plated all four runs of Game 2 in the second inning ... Lenoir-Rhyne (18-4-1, 10-4-1) scored a walk-off win in Game 2 to wrap up a doubleheader and series sweep of  Anderson (15-11, 4-11).

* Appalachian Athletic Conference: Columbia International (10-18, 8-6) extended its winning streak to seven with a sweep of Union Commonwealth (4-17, 1-13). The Rams scored three runs in the top of the seventh to take Game 2 ... Spartanburg Methodist (13-12, 6-6) had seven extra-base hits as a doubleheader sweep of Truett McConnell (7-18, 0-12) moved the Pioneers above .500.

* Other:  Christopher Ruiz had a two-run triple in the ninth inning of Game 2 as Benedict (10-7, 8-7 SIAC) split a doubleheader at Savannah State (12-11, 9-5). Ruiz had four hits in the twinbill ... Bob Jones (5-13) scored five runs late in Game 2 to force extra innings, but Southeastern Baptist (8-6) answered with a run to win and complete a doubleheader and series sweep ... Talladega (8-12, 5-0 HBCUAC) scored in doubled figures for the third time as it completed a sweep of Voorhees (5-15, 1-5).

* NJCAA Region 10: Jeb Britt pitched a complete-game four-hitter as USC Sumter (17-9, 6-5) snapped Florence-Darlington Tech's (25-6, 9-3) 11-game winning streak in Game 1, but the Stingers won the nightcap to take the rubber game of the series ... Tommy Zimmerman had two hits and drove in three runs as USC Lancaster (15-12, 3-7) won Game 1, but USC Union (15-10, 4-6) gained the split as Jake Short did not allow an earned run over 6 1/3 innings ... Gaston College (27-2, 9-2) extended its winning streak to eight with a pair of run-rule wins over USC Salkehatchie (3-24, 1-9). The Indians have lost 10 straight.

* ACC: Boston College evened its series with No. 10 N.C. State, 10-5 ... No. 14 Virginia beat Virginia Tech, 10-5, to clinch a series win  ... No. 20 Florida State beat No. 12 Wake Forest again, 2-0 ... No. 15 North Carolina clinched a series win at Cal, 6-2 ... Miami evened its series with Duke, 9-0 ... Pitt tied its series at Stanford, 11-10 ... Louisville pulled even with North Dame with an 8-7 decision.

* SEC: No. 21 Kentucky beat Alabama again, 8-7 ... No. 3 Mississippi State and No. 5 Arkansas split. The Bulldogs won the opener, 7-2, and the Razorback stook the series win with a 7-3 verdict in the nightcap ... No. 4 Auburn swept Missouri, 4-3 and 9-2, to sweep that series ... No. 2 Texas evened its series with Ole Miss, 11-2 ...No. 8 Georgia evened its series with No. 19 Tennessee, 4-2 ... No. 22 Texas A&M tied its series at No. 9 Oklahoma, 9-5 ...Vanderbilt beat No. 13 LSU, 11-3, to be assured of a series win. 

* Elsewhere: Texas Arlington beat No. 24 UTSA for the second straight day, 11-8 ... After  No. 25 Southern Cal won the opener, 2-1, Northwestern won Game 2, 2-0, to end the Trojans' run as the only remaining unbeaten DI team.
