* Briefly:
 No. 15 Coastal Carolina (17-7) scored five runs in the seventh, took the lead with two in the eighth and added an insurance run in the ninth to hand Clemson (18-8) its fourth straight loss. Darin Horn pitched the final three innings for Coastal, striking out six. The Tigers, who led 8-3 after six innings, committed three errors, walked six batters and hit six more. During the Chants' seventh-inning uprising. Clemson first baseman Jack Crighton got entangled with an umpire while trying to catch what would have been an inning-ending out. Instead, the ball fell in and two runs scored. Jacob Jarrell and Ty Dalley homered for the Tigers. Clemson coach Erik Bakich said infielder Jarren Purify will miss "weeks" with a hand fracture suffered at Notre Dame. jay Dillard played second base against Coastal. Also, Coastal Carolina's Trace Mason will miss several weeks with a hand injury ... Daniel Hussey had three hits and drove in five runs as Francis Marion (25-6) rallied to top NCAA Division II No. 1 Catawba (23-6) at Kannapolis ... Newberry (19-12) scored five runs in the first and added three in the third to snap No. 6 North Greenville's (25-7) six-game winning streak. Jake McGlynn pitched five innings of shutout relief for the Wolves ... No. 13 North Carolina (21-4-1) took the lead on a two-run first-inning homer by Gavin Gallaher and put the game away with a walk-fueled six-run seventh to beat South Carolina (13-13) at Truist Field in Charlotte. Beau Hollins and Jake Randolph had two hits apiece for the Gamecocks ... Blake Grimmer's two-out homer gave No. 21 Tennessee (18-7) a walk-off win over USC Upstate (12-14). The Spartans scored a run without a hit in the first inning and Trey Bentley's RBI double tied the score in the ninth ...
