* Briefly: Jay Dillard's two-run homer - Clemson's fourth home run of the game - capped a run-rule win for the Tigers (11-1) against Michigan State (3-8) at Fluor Field. Tryston McCladdie, Luke Gaffney and Jacob Jarrell also went deep. Tigers pitchers struck out 10 and didn't allow a walk ... South Carolina (9-5) pitchers struck out nine and didn't allow an earned run to turn back Charleston Southern (10-2). Aaron Jamison homered and Ethan Lizama had a two-run double in the sixth to give USC some breathing room. CSU had loaded the bases in the top of the sixth, but Brandon Stone pitched out of the jam with only the unearned run scoring. Kain Collins had three hits for the Buccaneers, who outhit the Gamecocks 9-7, but left 11 runners on base ... T.J. Anderson singled and hit a three-run homer as The Citadel (5-5) handled Georgia Southern (2-10) at Joe Riley Park. Bulldogs pitchers struck out 11 ... Florence-Darlington Tech (19-5) scored six runs in its final three innings to top Brunswick CC (12-6). It was the sixth straight win for the Stingers. Jake Little had three singles, a homer and three stolen bases ... USC Sumter (12-6) rebounded from a weekend series loss at Gaston College to take two against Southeastern CC (2-14), which has lost seven straight. Carew Bates and Jasean Perry drove in six runs apiece ... Columbia International's JV broke a tie with three runs in the sixth and snapped USC Union's (12-5) five-game winning streak.
