Midway through Sunday's Big South Conference series finale, the Eagles' five-game winning streak and perfect league mark appeared in jeopardy. They trailed Charleston Southern, 4-0, and had been held to two hits.

Then things picked up.

Winthrop scored single ruins in the sixth and seventh, got a game-tying homer from Corey Wouters in the eighth and completed the comeback with a run in the 10th to stretch the streak to six.

The Eagles have won 10 of 11 since a 10-6 start. They've scored 10 or more ruins five time and held opponents to two or fewer runs four times.
