Regular-season champion Catawba and runner-up Wingate will serve as hosts for first-round action in the South Atlantic Conference Tournament beginning Friday.
Both squads will host a four-team, double-elimination event over three days, with the two winners advancing to the best-of-three tournament championship series May 8-9 in Asheboro, N.C.
Coker qualified for the tournament as the eighth seed, and will play No. 1 Catawba at 2 p.m. Friday.
Newberry earned the seventh seed and will face Wingate on Friday.
