* NCAA Division I: Harrison Didawick hit two of Virginia's (28-13, 12-9 ACC) four homers as the No. 9 Cavaliers held off Clemson (25-16, 6-12) to claim a series victory. Didawick's first shot was an inside-the-park score after Tigers center fielder Bryce Clavon leapt and brought the ball back over the wall into the field of play, but could not hold it for an out. Clavon and Luke Gaffney homered for Clemson ... Walker Mitchell drove in four runs and Blake Barthol homered as No. 7 Coastal Carolina (28-10, 15-2 Sun Belt) clinched a series win over Georgia State (19-21, 7-10) ... Blake Bevis had three hits - including a three-run homer - and No. 17 Mississippi State (29-10, 9-8 SEC) got 18 strikeouts from its pitchers in a series-clinching shutout at South Carolina (19-21, 5-12) ... * Conference Carolinas: North Greenville (40-7, 26-4) rallied with an 11-run sixth inning against Chowan (4-32, 4-26) in Game 1, then clinched a share of the regular-season title with its 15th consecutive win in the nightcap. The Trailblazers have a three-game lead over Belmont Abbey, Francis Marion and Young Harris with three games remaining ... After Erskine (24-22, 18-12) won Game 1 with an eight-run sixth inning, Francis Marion (37-9, 24-6) scored 25 runs over the final six innings of the nightcap for the split and series win. Charlie Bussey III became the Patriots' career home run leader (31) with a ninth-inning grand slam in Game 2 ...Cole Kirschner had three homers and drove in eight runs as Southern Wesleyan (15-31, 9-21) split a doubleheader at Barton (10-29, 7-23).
* Peach Belt Conference: Lander (26-18, 19-10) scored 11 runs in the seventh to run-rule USC Beaufort (13-30, 4-22) for the second straight day ...USC Beaufort transfer Carson Phillips had three hits, stole three bases and scored three times as Georgia College (18-24, 11-15) evened its series with USC Aiken (32-13, 18-8) and snapped the Pacers' six-game winning streak ... A six-run eighth inning allowed Flagler (29-14, 16-10) to run-rule Claflin (4-32, 1-25).
* South Atlantic Conference: Myles Denton provided late heroics as Anderson (22-23, 10-20) won Game 1, then the Trojans dominated Virginia Wise (11-33, 6-24) in the nightcap of a doubleheader sweep. Denton tripled in a run and scored the tying run in the ninth, then singled in the winning run in the 10th. Levi Medford drove in five runs in Game 2, when three pitched combined for a three-hit shutout ... Brandon Crabtree's two-run homer in the ninth inning of Game 1 lifted Catawba (35-8, 26-4) to a series-clinching win at Newberry (24-22, 17-13) and he added five RBI in the nightcap as the Indians completed the sweep ... Carson-Newman (27-17, 16-14) completed a series sweep of Coker (12-32, 9-21) with a pair of wins.
* Region 10: Charles Wamer pitched 3 1/3 innings of shutout relief in Game 2 as USC Sumter (28-18, 13-12) picked up a split with Florence-Darlington Tech (42-9, 20-6) by ending the Stingers' 10-game winning streak ... USC Union (27-19, 10-15) moved past USC Lancaster (22-22, 9-16) into fourth place in the standings with a sweep of the Lancers. An 11-run third inning gave the Bantams control in Game 1 and they broke a tie with four runs in the ninth inning of the nightcap ... Gaston College (44-3, 22-3) run-ruled USC Salkehatchie (3-42, 1-23) in Game 1 to move closer to clinching the top seed for the region tournament. Game 2 was postponed until Sunday.
* Other: Lefrederick Wooten (7-1) struck out eight in a one-hit complete game in the opener of Benedict's (18-10, 16-10 SIAC) sweep of Tuskegee (11-29, 8-20) ...
