* Briefly: Blake Barthol had four hits as No. 9 Coastal Carolina (31-13) rallied late to blow past No. 2 North Carolina (36-9-1). Rex Watson and Colby Thorndyke added three hits apiece and Watson, Ty Barrango and Jackson Winer drove in two runs each. Coastal trailed 2-1 before scoring 2 runs in the sixth, 6 in the seventh and 3 in the ninth. Relievers Daniel Parker, Darin Horn and Ryan Lynch combined for five shutout innings for the Chanticleers ... Christian Stratis had three hits and three RBI and five pitchers combined on a three-hit shutout as The Citadel (22-22) completed a season sweep of South Carolina (22-24). Michael Gibson had three hits, an RBI and pitched the final two innings for his sixth save. It was The Citadel's first shutout of the Gamecocks in Columbia and the Bulldogs' first season sweep in the series since 2009 ... Travis Dannecker (5-4) pitched a complete game as Spartanburg Methodist (26-22) beat Columbia International (17-30) in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament.
