In the preseason poll of Southern Conference coaches, coach J.J. Edwards' 
squad was picked to finish last among the eight teams.

The Terriers are doing what they can to make that prognostication look bad.

Through three of seven weeks of conference games Wofford has an 8-1 record and a two-game lead over East Tennessee State and Western Carolina in the standings.

Logan Tribble leads the Terriers with a .400 batting average. Alec Bouchard as led the pitching, fashioning a 6-2 record and 1.64 ERA with 61 strikeouts in 49 1.3 innings

Up next: A Tuesday home game with Presbyterian, followed by a nonconference home series with UNC Asheville. The next SoCon action is at Mercer April 24-26.
