* Briefly: Clemson (29-20) got its third win over a ranked team in four days, turning back No. 8 Coastal Carolina (33-15) at Conway in front of 6,103, the largest regular-season crowd in Chanticleers history. Jack Crighton had four hits and three teammates added two apiece. In addition, Nate Savoie extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a double and scored three times. Walker Mitchell doubled and drove in two runs for Coastal. Clemson won the last two games over No. 20 Boston College over the weekend. The last time the Tigers won three straight games was over Stanford, Santa Clara and North Carolina in early April ... Alex Marot singled, homered and drove in four runs for Charleston Southern (24-19) as it outlasted College of Charleston (22-25). Marot was one of five Buccaneers to get two hits apiece.  Jacob Amman and Alex LaCoste homered for the Cougars ... Jake Armsey drove in seven runs - including five during an 11-run fourth inning - and Johnny Sweeney homered for the fourth straight game as USC Upstate (23-26) run-ruled Elon (19-28) at Fluor Field. The Spartans had hits - seven for extra bases -  to push their winning streak to four ... Claflin (5-36) took the lead on a wild pitch in the eighth inning and held on to beat host Virginia State in the first round of the CIAA Championship Series. Christian Hill had three hits, stole a base and drove in a pair of runs for the Panthers, who snapped a 10-game losing straight and advanced to play Bluefield State on Wednesday. Nehemiah Drew and Lesley Johnson had two hits each ... Tennessee (32-17) hit four home runs as it overcame a Matthew Rollison first-inning homer to beat Presbyterian (10-39) ... Fort Lauderdale (33-11) scored in every inning to send Bob Jones to an elimination game in the NCCAA South Regional. Henry Rumble's fourth homer of the tournament - a two-run shot - started BJU's scoring. The Bruins (14-27) were eliminated when Baptist University of Florida scored three in the sixth and held on. Preston Cox had three hits, a walk and scored both BJU runs. Rumble had an RBI single. He drove in seven of the Bruins' 11 runs in the tournament. The Bruins' Mackenzie Ritter struck out six
