The College Baseball Foundation and Mizuno partner to present the award each year to the person selected as the top collegiate baseball player. The 2009 award will be given in conjunction with the College Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremonies July 2 in Lubbock, Texas.
Clemson's representatives, sophomore DH Kyle Parker and junior first baseman Ben Paulsen, were the Tigers' top two home run hitters a season ago.
Coastal Carolina also has two on the watch list: senior infielder-pitcher David Anderson and sophomore third baseman Scott Woodward.
Furman sophomore designated hitter Reese Wade, Wofford sophomore outfielder Jake Williams and College of Charleston senior pitcher Jesse Simpson complete the Palmetto State representatives. Williams is from Riverside High School, one of the state's top producers of college baseball talent in recent years.
