A reminder about the MLB Network
Just a reminder for Major League fans that the MLB Network begins formal broadcasting at 6 p.m. Jan. 1. It has been airing promos and other information for a couple of weeks now.
It is on Channel 345 on Charter cable in the Upstate and on Channel 213 on DirecTV. On-air personalities include former players Barry Larkin, Al Leiter and Harold Reynolds.
On its first night, the channel will air the original broadcast of Don Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 World Series, touting it as the first time it's been on TV since the original airing.
Also, the MLB Network will air 16 games from the World Baseball Classic and 26 live Major League games during the season.
