News Digest, Jan. 27

This news digest is written to the memory of my father, whose birthday was today. When I was a kid I never understood why he was usually so busy working he didn't have time to play catch with me as much as I wanted. I understood better when I grew up and didn't have as much time as I would have liked to play catch with my son.

Former Clemson and minor-league pitcher Lindsay Graham is the activities minister at the church.
