USC's new baseball stadium is a great spot for watching baseball. Except for when you go behind the center field hitter's backdrop, you can walk around the stadium inside and see the playing field the whole time.
The design bears some similarities to Fluor Field in Greenville.
Fans who don't get tickets can stand behind the wrought-iron fence beyond right field and see much of the field for free.
As a stats geek, I wish the lineups were posted somewhere accessible to fans before the game so the names could be entered in a scorebook at a leisurely pace. If they were posted anywhere, I couldn't find them.
The only other negative I saw was fans sitting in the left field bleachers can't see the ball/strike count because they are behind and beside the scoreboard/replay board. Perhaps a ball/strike/out/score/inning strip can be placed on the facade below the press box/luxury suites.
I had someone drop me off near the stadium, so I didn't deal with the parking/shuttle from Colonial Life Arena. It looked like there were plenty of buses, but I don't know what kind of wait fans had to be transported.
I'm not a photographer, but I'll try to post a picture or two in a couple of days.
