Baseball America picks USC fifth in SEC East
A post on Auburn's athletics site indicates Baseball America picks South Carolina to finish fifth in the SEC East this season. No Gamecocks were named to the newspaper's preseason all-SEC team.
Vandy-USC series on SportSouth?
It's not listed on USC's schedule, but Vanderbilt's baseball schedule indicates the May 1-2-3 games at South Carolina will be broadcast on SportSouth. USC's recent contract with SportSouth called for several baseball games to be aired, but this is the first evidence of that. Apparently the Saturday game will be moved from its customary 4 p.m. start to 7 p.m. to avoid a conflict with the weekly SEC telecast that day.
More TV dates leak out
Somewhere, there's a copy of CSS's baseball schedule for 2009. It's not on the cable station's Web site, but both Georgia and Auburn have announced their appearances on the channel. Georgia's was posted a couple of days ago. Here's Auburn's
