Trying to keep up with postponements/cancellations/reschedulings over the weekend didn't give me any time for some notes. Here goes:

Anderson's Blair Carson hit his 28th career home run in Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader loss at Barton, breaking the school record set by Justin King

    Winthrop's Dominic Patterozzi was named Big South pitcher of the week for allowing four hits and a run over 7 2/3 innings in a win at Southern California.

    The Citadel's Richard Jones was named player of the week and College of Charleston's Jesse Simpson was named pitcher of the week by the Southern Conference.

  • Newberry, Pfeiffer swap home dates
    Newberry and Pfeiffer have swapped dates for their home games in the Tuesday-Wednesday series. Now, Newberry will host the home game and Pfeiffer will get the Wednesday game.

  • Camp postponed
    The father-son baseball camp planned for Presbyterian College March 21 has been postponed. No makeup date was announced.

  • CuJo out a week
    University of South Carolina fans likely cringed when reliever Curtis Johnson abruptly left Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader. After all, he had missed much of last season with a torn labrum and a rotator cuff injury that required surgery. The preliminary report this time is that he strained a tendon in his right bicep and will be out at least a week. School officials said Johnson would undergo treatment and be re-evaluated by doctors and trainers.

    Today's Augusta State-USC Aiken game has been moved from Lake Olsmtead Stadium in Augusta to Roberto Hernandez Stadium in Aiken.
