Boston College officials on Thursday moved Sunday's scheduled series finale against Clemson to part of a doubleheader on Saturday in an effort to avoid inclement weather. The day change means Tigers right fielder Kyle Parker will miss the entire series because of football obligations.
Parker, in contention for the Tigers' quarterback job, was already scheduled to miss Friday and Saturday games, then fly up for Sunday's action in Chestnut Hill, Mass. He hit .428 over his last two ACC series.
Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney has worked with baseball coach Jack Leggett to minimize Parker's absences from the baseball team. This weekend is the only time Parker isn't scheduled to be available for baseball.
