Wofford has picked up two games with nearby Gardner-Webb, making up for a couple of the games washed out last weekend.
Just for fun
SoutheasternBaseball.com offers a prediction competition for conference games. There are no prizes that I'm aware of, just the fun of competing against others.
Texas-Stanford on TV
Tonight's Texas-Stanford game is will be on CBS College Sports. For some reason, the season baseball schedules for CBS College Sports and ESPNU seem to be more closely guarded secrets than the formula for the original Coca-Cola. I finally found an ESPNU schedule someone posted on a message board. Only a couple of marquee names.
ESPNU schedule
April 3: UC Irvine at Cal State Fullerton (10 p.m. ET)
April 5: Louisville at Cincinnati (2 p.m. ET)
April 5: San Diego at Santa Clara (6:30 p.m. ET)
May 1: Liberty at Coastal Carolina (6 p.m. ET)
May 2: Delaware State at Bethune-Cookman (3 p.m. ET)
May 22: Long Beach State at Cal State Fullerton (10 p.m. ET)
May 23: Big East Championship (1 p.m. ET)
Wolfpack strikeouts
I meant to mention this yesterday and it slipped my mind. N.C. State pitchers struck out an NCAA-record 31 batters in a 5-4, 18-inning win over Akron on Wednesday in Lake Worth, Fla. Wolfpack batters struck out 20 times themselves. N.C. State had played another game with Villanova earlier in the day, so it was the equivalent of a tripleheader.
