USC announces schedule
The University of South Carolina has announced 2010 schedule. In addition to 30 SEC games and a three game series against Clemson (one in Clemson, one in Greenville, one in Columbia), the Gamecocks have a three-game series at East Carolina and 10 games against other state teams. Winthrop is on the schedule for the first time in several seasons.

  • Duke moves downtown
The College Baseball Blog reports Duke is moving 18 home games from campus to Durham Bulls Athletic Park in downtown Durham in 2010. The story does not include which games. Clemson plays at Duke April 9-11. The Durham Bulls are out of town that weekend, so those games could be prime candidates to be moved. North Carolina Central also uses the facility.

  • Ex-Tiger honored
Former Clemson player and major leaguer Bill Schroeder was among 10 people recently inducted into the Cape Cod League Hall of Fame. Schroeder played for Hyannis in the prestigious summer league.

I would expect a large percentage of the Duke games will be the ACC ones. I haven't had a chance to see the Blue Devils schedule yet though.

The dates of the Clemson series don't conflict with the Durham Bulls, so that's probable. Duke has a DH vs. Presbyterian that conflicts with a Bulls home game. Also, N.C. Central uses the Bulls' Park, too.

Thanks. I didn't know that. I just saw where they called it Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
