Louisiana-Lafayette's Columbia Super Regional win over South Carolina in 2000 ranks as No. 7 on Kendall Rogers' (Rivals.com) list of the 10 most surprising upsets of the decade.

    Mark Ethridge of SoutheasternBaseball.com offers his assessment of the non-conference schedules for Southeastern Conference teams. He ranks South Carolina's third behind Florida and Arkansas, but opines the league has a bunch of weak midweek games.

    Mark Etheridge is clueless. If S.C.'s OOC schedule is the 3rd toughest in the SEC they must all play patsies. Of course, we know this is not true. Georgia's OOC schedule is far tougher than S.C.'s because in to the Fl. State, Duke, and Baylor series he lists, they also play two games with Clemson, two with Ga Tech, Georgia State, Western Carolina, Winthrop, and two with Kennesaw State.
