University of South Carolina pitcher Sam Dyson is No. 29 on The College Baseball Blog's Top 100 players countdown for 2010.

    Coastal Carolina pitcher Cody Wheeler and College of Charleston third baseman Joey Bergman are second-team selections on Collegiate Baseball's preseason all-American team. South Carolina pitcher Sam Dyson and Winthrop catcher Eddie Rohan are on the third team.

  • McMillon to manage Drive
    Former Clemson standout Billy McMillon has been named manager for the South Atlantic League's Greenville Drive for 2010. McMillon was hitting coach for the Boston Red Sox farm team the past two seasons. This will be his first managerial job. Bob Kipper a former major-leaguer who lives in Greenville and has been serving as the Drive's pitching coach, will fill the same role at AA Portland.
