WINNERS
Clemson -- The Tigers needed a sweep of Florida State to win the Atlantic Division title, and they did exactly that, perhaps erasing some of the frustrations endured in mid-season slump.
Coastal Carolina -- Granted the Chanticleers lost a second conference game to a rainout, but they finished 25-0 in the ones they got to play.
College of Charleston -- They missed out on a share of the SoCon title, but the Cougars got a boost to their at-large prospects with a road win over Coastal Carolina.
Furman -- The Paladins looked certain to miss the Southern Conference Tournament a couple of weeks ago, but they regrouped to earn the No. 8 seed.
North Greenville -- The Crusaders won five games, several in exciting fashion in the late innings, to win the National Christian College Athletic Association World Series. Coach Travis Henson is hoping to use the success as a springboard to bigger things, such as the NCAA Division II playoffs.
Presbyterian -- The Blue Hose wrapped up the season with a pair of wins over VMI and slipped out of last place in the Big South Conference.
The Citadel -- The Bulldogs swept what had been a hot Georgia Southern team to wrap up the Southern Conference championship.
Winthrop -- Winning two of three against second-place Liberty could give the Eagles a confidence boost for the Big South Conference Tournament.
LOSERS
South Carolina -- Winning the SEC regular season title might have been the last piece the Gamecocks needed to wrap up a national seed. After losing out to Florida, the Gamecocks might need to avoid a two-and-out in the SEC Tournament to still have a chance.
Wofford -- The Terriers saw their SoCon Tournament chances wiped out on the final day of the season.
