The United States Collegiate National team will play Japan at 5 a.m. (EDT) Thursday in one semifinal of the World University Championships baseball tournament in Tokyo.
Clemson shortstop Brad Miller is batting .500 in the tournament, going 3-for-6 with a double, three runs scored, three RBIs and two walks.
In the team's 17-game overall summer schedule, Miler's .441 average leads the team. He is 15-for-34 with a home run, four doubles and six RBIs. He has played in 14 games, starting seven.
South Carolina's Jackie Bradley Jr. is hitting .231 in the tournament and .345 for the summer tour. He is 20-for-58 with 12 runs scored, a home run and 11 RBIs.
The United States has won all four games it has played in Tokyo and is 15-2 overall.
Cuba and South Korea are meeting in the other semifinal. The championship game is set for Saturday.
