Coker honors 1994 team
Coker has inducted its 1994 baseball team into the school's athletic hall of fame. The team went 48-12, including a win over NCAA DI school TCU.

  • Dwyer ranked No. 7
    Former Clemson pitcher Chris Dwyer has been ranked the No. 7 prospect in the high Class A Carolina League by Baseball America. Dwyer pitches for the Wilmington Blue Rocks, a Kansas City Royals farm team. Former USC signee Wil Myers, who signed with the Royals out of high school, is ranked No. 4. Myers also played enough in the Midwest League to earn the No. 3 ranking in that Class A league.

  • Top 100 countdown begins
    The Collegiate Baseball Blog has begun its countdown of the top 100 players for the 2011 season. I don't know if I can remember to post the link every day, but I'll be sure to list any state players (and perhaps ACC/SEC/SoCon/BigSouth) listed.

    The University of Texas has announced its 2011 schedule. It does not play any state teams, but it does have home series against Maryland and Vanderbilt.
